Summary

All visual adjustment tests are passed. In addition, options are provided for letterspacing, line height, and margins. Test results are for the RedShelf app version 1.5.0 (907) on Android 11.

visual-010 Change font size Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to change (increase/decrease) the size of the font. The font size change should apply uniformly on all the book content including the Table of Contents, Footnotes, Page List, Notes and Bookmarks. Pass Buttons marked "+" and "-" are shown on the book reading screen at the top right. These are used to zoom into and out of the content (with reflow). A wide range of zoom is provided. Furthermore, visual adjustments can be made by opening the menu via the button with four horizontal lines, then in Main menu choose Display options, and enable Personal view. The first of the many options is Size. Values for this item are Default, Smaller, Larger and Extra Large. There are big jumps between these options, some additional levels may be appreciated.
visual-110 Change background and foreground color Change background and foreground colour (May be through reading system feature or through OS settings). Pass In Display options there is the item Colors. Three modes are provided: Default, Sepia and Night.
visual-210 Change brightness Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to change (increase/decrease) the screen brightness. Pass This is achieved with the operating system controls.
visual-310 Apply high contrast system configuration The reading system interface and book content except images should respect the high contrast mode (invert colors) if present in the Operating System. Pass Color inversion worked as expected (note that images were also affected).
visual-410 Magnify the User Interface(UI) Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to magnify the Reading System screen. All aspects of the User Interface such as Menus, Pop-up Windows, Dialog Boxes and Search Box should get magnified uniformly. Pass This was achieved with the built in Magnifier feature in Android.
visual-510 Change Font Choose from a selection of fonts, including sans-serif and serif options. Pass In Display options there is the item Font. Several values are offered, including serif and sans serif choices, and OpenDyslexic.
visual-610 Support for SVG Check if a image is displayed below this paragraph. This image is in SVG format. Pass The grey circle was displayed as expected.
visual-710 Enlarge SVG image Check if the image given in the previous test can be enlarged. Pass This can be achieved with app's Zoom feature or the built in Magnifier feature in Android.
